Dearest NMCC friends!
WOW! What a sensational singing season this has been, and what a musical whirlwind last week was Congratulations! I can't believe all that we accomplished last week! Tree Lighting, Dress Rehearsal, Christmas in Davidson, Swingin' Show, & the REC Center. Probably why I needed to take a mental health day today! Yes, I did!
Shout-out again to Barb Palmer for stepping in for Sherry! BIG HUGS as that was a lot of last minute prep!
Just a reminder that we do NOT have a rehearsal tonight. I hear there is a TV special called "The Full Monty" that might bring a few laughs!
This Friday night, 12/13 at 6:30 is our big Hough High School Performing Arts annual "Winter Fantasy" performance. This features all of my singers, full orchestra, some jazz band students, guitar ensemble, and dancers--close to 200 students in this show that I direct every year. It's a biggie and I would LOVE to have you in the audience. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students: https://hhswinterfantasyconcert.ludus.com
CAROLING: If you are planning to do the caroling at Ranson Ridge this Saturday, 12/14 at 1:30--see you there! There were about 16 folks who signed up and we really can only manage a few more. I will say we are short on tenors/basses if you're interested. We will do a short set from our holiday selections with piano and then a few sing-a-long favorites.
Ranson Ridge 13910 Hunton Lane, Huntersville
Plan to meet no later than 1:15 near the main lobby area so we can organize ourselves! Bring your music!
ATTIRE: dark blue or black jeans or dark pants, holiday sweaters or shirts with ties or scarves OR holiday headgear; comfortable shoes
If you don't have tickets already, go support Carolina Voices and some of our singers who are involved in "The Singing Christmas Tree," 12/14-15
NMCC PARTY NEWS: Please continue to SAVE THE DATE for NEXT Monday 12/16 for our end of season celebration. We will reach back out when details are solid.
THANK YOU! Thank you for welcoming me so warmly back in August and embracing my energetic "style." Thanks for digging in when rehearsals and music proved challenging! Thanks for believing in the process and my "vision" for "Swingin' in the Season." Thanks for smiling back at me! I cannot tell you how much that meansI am still flying high from our performances and will carry this joy with me for a long time to come. The emotion you felt and heard in my voice Friday night--the real deal!!! I'm thankful for SO much and all that YOU, my dear NMCC family, have added into my musical world!
If I don't see you in the next week:
See you for our MEET & GREET, and ready to sing again on Monday, January 20 at 6:30 PM unless you hear otherwise!
Have a happy, healthy, harmonious holiday season with your and yours!
With love,
HEIDI
